Biography
I am a retired college professor with a background in molecular genetics and cell biology. Since my retirement I have been active with quilting and researching quilts. I currently live in Chicago, IL. I grew up in north-east Ohio and lived in central Michigan while I was a college professor.

Appraisal Experience
I have been appraising quilted textiles since 2022. I am currently working toward becoming an American Quilter’s Society certified Quilted Textile Appraiser. I have taken classes for the appraisal of quilted items, their history and their values. I am actively involved with several organizations to continue to grow my skills as both an quilter and as an appraiser.

Speaking Experience
As a professor, I enjoyed sharing my knowledge with individuals who share my joy of learning. As quilter, I continue to enjoying sharing my knowledge. I am an active independent quilt historian and collector. I have been lecturing on quilt-related topics since 2022.
